Slagtown: Salvage

Slagtown: Salvage

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Slagtown: Salvage is an expansion set for Finger and Toe Model's Slagtown: Eden, a 28mm sci-fi skirmish wargaming construction that lets you game in dystopian future of urban blight.

Expanding on the system of simple elements-girders, platforms, ladders, and walkways that slot into the platforms-Slagtown: Salvage adds walls in four textures to create modular, stackable buildings and extensions to build tall towers. In addition, special rampart pieces in two different textures allow any platform to become a fort. Sometimes all you need is a fort, and Slagtown: Salvage adds two Quikfort pieces, a wall and a corner section.

In addition, you also get hazmat shipping containers.

There are twelve pages of models and a seven page instruction manual. Included on the pages are:

  • four different wall types, including a double gate and windows
  • two different QuikFort sections (a wall and a corner),
  • a new page of mesh decking to use as platforms for your models,
  • girder extenders and braces to allow you to create taller structures,
  • two different rampart textures,
  • a page of edging to give your platforms a finished look,
  • six different textured hazmat containers.

Many pages are crammed with extras.

Here are some of the tings you can do with :

You can spend hundreds--even thousands--on expensive resin terrain, then weeks of painting before your gaming friends see your two or three masterpieces. Or . . . you can spend a few dollars and a few hours and cover the table.

That's why we're called Finger and Toe Models. We won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Come visit us at www.fingerandtoe.com and see what you can do with Slagtown: Eden and Slagtown: Salvage.

NOTE: the paper miniatures in the pictures are for scale comparisons only and are not included, nor are they for sale.

This set has unlimited uses but will require planning on the part of the user. Instructions are on the light side but the full color panels will allow any construction to happen. [...]

A highly versatile addition to the slagtown series. I particularly liked the quikfort sections although they needed a little conversion to create a comprehensive fort system. This proved a minor problem as the basic Eden set provides all the neccesary [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
