The Improved Pathfinder Character Sheet Redesign

Watermarked PDF
Suggested Price $2.99

This Improved Pathfinder Character Sheet Redesign was made by a dissatisfied Pathfinder player for other Pathfinder players who are equally appalled by the vast lack of space and detail on all the other standard, run-of-the-mill character sheets they've tried. It's a redesigned PDF of the previous version, with much of the same content—just aesthetically streamlined a bit!

  • 8 pages of everything needed for recording a Pathfinder character of any level!
  • Form-fillable PDF with several auto-completing fields and lots of check boxes!
  • Greyscale layout so your printer doesn’t hate you!
  • Made from scratch using Adobe InDesign CC and Acrobat Pro DC!
  • What, exactly, is on each page? Continue reading to find out!
What's New?
  • It's less of an eyesore, with a nice light grey as the accent color instead of the solid black of the previous version!
  • Even more autocalculated fields! (pardon all the -5s that are the default ability modifiers on the sheet—I'm working on making sure those are blank from the get-go. They'll change to reflect your real stats once you put them in!)
  • More room for your prepared spell list. Your spellbook has more slots, too!
  • It's just much better in general, if you ask me. But I'm biased.

Because this thing is 8 pages, here’s a rundown on what’s on each page:

  • Page 1 has all your basic stats—ability scores, hit points, saving throws, and skills, as well as a box for you to record your character’s name (amongst other important things).
  • Page 2 has places to put all your defense and offense stuff. This includes your character’s armor class, defensive items and abilities, attack bonuses, and even some offensive abilities at the bottom.
  • Page 3 continues the theme of offense and thus has room for up to 5 attacks and all their details. It also has room for 19 feats (probably overkill) and three boxes for some other important things like languages. You gotta know these things.
  • Page 4 is your inventory page. Lots of fields for weapons, armor, magic items, and other gear. Even has a spot for you to keep track of how much money you have—fun!
  • Page 5 was made for those of us who play spellcasters! Spots for all the mechanical details such as spell slots and save DCs, a blank list for you to put in your prepared spells, and a box for both metamagic feats and spell-like abilities. The entire bottom half of the page is for special abilities, which is just a fancy term for things that don’t really go anywhere else on the sheet but probably should be recorded anyway.
  • Page 6 is just a bunch of blank form fields, but all of them are for spells. All of them.
  • Page 7 has space for all your non-statistical character details, because numbers get boring after six pages. Appearance, personality, and relations to other characters can be found here. Do you like having art of your characters? There’s a spot for that! Write ridiculously long backstories? I can’t guarantee you’ll be able to read the font size if you put it in the designated (and relatively large) box, but it’s worth a shot!
  • Page 8 gives you room to keep track of how much your character has grown as an adventurer. Seriously. With a row for each level you’ve gained, all the way up to 20, you can write down the important bits. And if you like having all your racial and class features in one place, put them here!
In future updates:
  • Getting rid of all those default numbers. I just gotta learn JavaScript first.
  • Keep an eye out for more titles coming from me soon! As of right now, I’m planning on releasing extras and add-ons such as spellcards, an adventure log, wild shape cards for the druids among us, animal and/or eidolon companion sheets, and an item body-slot page.

Do you have suggestions on what else I could make? Is there something horribly wrong with this character sheet that I desperately need to fix? Are you super confused with how this thing works? Just feeling lonely today and want to say hello? Leave a review or a comment and I’ll do my best to help!

Hopefully you guys like this revised layout! And, if you do, feel free to spread the word or support me and my other creative efforts by being an above-average customer. Or just buying it, period. That would be really cool.

Definitely like the bigger text for gamers with visual impairments. I think this sheet will be enjoyable to use. However, I am disappointed that there's nothing for psionics (no autohypnosis skill or a place to add one unless I hijack a craft), and no place to keep track of pools. Current character has /three/ pools I need to track (power points, inspiration, luck), so tidier bookkeeping would be nice. I also have *hangs head* more than 6 special abilities, so a way to print an extra full page about them would be cool. All told though, lovely work!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
