“Indeed it would seem that we dwell in a land blessed by the Gods, for only in Eldoria do we see the remaining signs of their divinity, in the power of the Tas which allows us to shape the world according to their great plan”.

Abbot Uhsurn Canthrell, of the Church of Ormocea, in his opening address to the Congress of Odressi

“The Encylopedia Eldoria” is a comprehensive campaign setting for a fantasy role playing world, compatible with the Pathfinder Role-Playing Game. It is a culmination of material created by its author for running campaign games and tournaments over a thirty year period. It contains information on mythology, history, geography and culture, providing GMs with the perfect background for their players’ adventures.

“The Encyclopedia Eldoria” contains all the core source material that you need to start a role-playing campaign based in the fantasy realm of Eldoria. It has been written to be easily used in conjunction with most role playing resources and material currently available; the contents of “The Encyclopedia Eldoria” being largely descriptive in nature, rather than being rules heavy. You can use Eldoria as presented, tweek the content for your own style of game or use ideas and concepts in the book to enhance your own campaign setting.

This is the  updated version of second edition and includes revised art-work and new and expanded material, including information on Priatharia; more varieties of the strange crystal Averaach (which reacts in different ways to the presence of magic); information on how magic works in Eldoria; and details of Tas Stones, ancient monuments that allow adventurers to instantly travel long distances (but sometimes at great cost!).

Been enjoying the Encyclopedia Eldoria 2nd Edition, and looking through the races, I noticed there was neither any aging tables (both adulthood or aging effect tables) nor any height or weight stat tables.

Does that mean we should use the tables presented in the core Pathfinder books for the Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halfling, Gnomes, and various Goblynkind, or would there be some differences one might need to take into account, such as Priatharia, considering Elves here are technically immortal (if they don't die of say disease or violence), for example?

Also, are there any general stats for the races that might be different compared to the stats one generally used in the core Pathfinder rulebooks, or should we just use what those core Pathfinder books say?

Hi Warren, thanks for your comments I'll update the existing document with age details and information about Priatharia this week. The basic statistics for the races are the same as the Pathfinder Books.

Keith

Nice! Hmm how old do most Dwarves live?

Yeah it's a really interesting setting honestly. Like I could certainly see novels being written for your setting.

Oh also, weird thing but if you attempt to use the "full-size preview", it just displays blank pages. I don't know if that's an issue on your end or DriveThru's but yeah, just wanted to warn you about that.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
