The wastes are the most dangerous part of this world, filled with demons, undead, and dinosaurs. Barbarians of the Gothic Waste is a pen and paper role playing game set in a barbaric fantasy world. It uses a new game system designed by Noah Patterson called The Micro RPG System. What is a Micro RPG? Well, it is a pen and paper role playing game that is simple and fast enough for even the busiest gamer to pick up and play. This short and simple rule book will give you all the rules you need to play. All YOU need is a deck of playing cards, 2 six sided dice, and a few friends. All games in the Micro RPG series are standalone games, but can also be combined with other games in the series.

Is there to be a print version available on Amazon? I just bought like $50+ on the printed versions of your books through Amazon with out ever playing Micro RPG games. I got that excited when I came across it. I play 4 Against Darkness, D&D (2nd on up to 5e), Pathfinder 1&2e, Starfinder, BFRPG, Beyond Supernatural, and CoC. I also was wondering about the Dino game that's 150 pages and print version coming to Amazon?

Paul. First let me begin by saying THANK YOU for your interest and support in my game designs.

Barbarians of the Gothic Waste is one of my earliest games. I did put it out in print at first on Amazon, but there was a printing error and I had to pull it, unfortunately. I tried again recently to do it again, but similar errors cropped up. It really just needs a bit of an overhaul to be fixed.

The Dino book, however, should be out next week. Two weeks at the latest if there are no troubles in the printing process. (I don't foresee any) It will be a full-color rulebook.

Feel free to suggest any genres or sub-genres or themes you'd like to see in the system!

I'm a fan of old-school fantasy fiction ala Kull and Conan, though when I game it I prefer to nix the sexism and give it a twist towards the weird (ala Clark Ashton Smith), so I'm interested in this game. However, the blurb above is just too sparse in details to persuade me to buy it. I suggest that the publisher just add a link to the Micro RPG Basic page and rewrite the blurb here to tell us more about this setting. I've added this product to my (long, long) wish list and will check back on it soon.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
