The Wishing Pool

There once was a mighty wizard that granted wishes to heroes that proved themselves worthy. Many heroes were granted great boons, but there came a day when a group of wicked villains tried to deceive the wizard into granting them one of their desires. They never came back, and neither have any heroes that went looking for the wizard. But then again this is only a legend…

This 16 page adventure is for 4-6 1st level characters. It is pre-essentials Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition. It is a balanced adventure with skill challenges, combat, role-playing, and exploration. There are dynamic elements that the player can unlock by choosing specific actions or being successful at specific challenges.

Tsorathian Raiders

The small city of Los Arch has been having
trouble with bad crops, and now traders are
being harassed by what they describe as
demons when visiting. The demons have gotten
so bold they even raid the Forest Gate at times.
By the time the guards get to the Forest Gate
the demons are gone.
The villagers are demanding something be
done. They blame the elders of Los Arch for the
infestation of demons and for the loss of crops
because of a new trade treaty with North
Bermhold.
What are the elders to do? The answer is to
seek out the help of courageous adventurers.
The worst case scenario, they don’t return. The
elders decide to risk it.

This is a 72 page (color and printable black and white) Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition adventure for five 1st-2nd level characters. This module includes detailed images that show where the battles take place and unique extensive encounters. It also includes many new traps, monsters, and imaginative skill challenges.

Mysterious Vista Gargoyle Stalk

In days long past this temple was dedicated to the rite of passage of a tribe of savages. Their powerful shamans bound a gargoyle to do their bidding. It was instructed to test the mettle of the young man entering the temple, until they got to the final room. It was then instructed to kill the young man. If the young man defeated the gargoyle he was considered a warrior and a man from that point onward. Over the years the ritual was repeated many times. One day the ritual was set up and the tribe was attacked. They were defeated and forgotten. Many decades passed. Anyone who wandered into the temple was quickly dispatched by the gargoyle when they reached the final room. The gargoyle adapted and became stronger and faster than a normal gargoyle. Without the proper nourishment the gargoyle went mad, but is still compelled to follow its instructions.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
